We live in a world full of battles, ranging from college sports and bbq, all the way up to deadly wars between countries. There are battles all around us, yet when we consider our daily lives, our emotional well-being, our faith, and our spiritual journey, we tend to distance ourselves from talking and believing there is a battle waging around us. There is a battle. It is real. It is seen, and it is unseen. Paul is going to reveal to us there is more than meets the eye. Over the next four weeks, as we work through Ephesians 6, Paul will outline the battle, the armor, where our strength comes from, and how we are to enter the battle of which we are a part of every day. In this, we will also see that the most important battle ever waged took place when Jesus Christ went to the cross. He disarmed the rulers and authorities, and triumphed over them by canceling the record of our debt. We cannot forget that on the other side of the spiritual battle is the victor, the King of Kings, Jesus Christ.
