Everything Under the Sun week 6
• Series: Everything Under The Sun
In many ways, the book of Ecclesiastes has served as a realignment for us regarding several areas of our lives and even adjusted our thinking about topics we don’t like to talk about or mention: Life, death & eternity - big questions Everything is a vapor, a breath, meaningless Seasons of life - God is in control of every season Envy and relationships - led us to a WE over ME mentality Worship - How do we enter the house of God for worship? Do we grasp the significance of this time together? Solomon, the mighty king of Israel, who had everything under the sun at his disposal, has journeyed every path this world has to offer, and he has concluded that his perspective, his pursuit of pleasure, leads to step back and allow God to realign his answers to many of the biggest questions of life. As we enter chapter seven, we will see hints of all that we have discussed thus far and even glimpses of chapter six, which we did not walk through. In chapter seven, Solomon, the teacher, shifts his writing style in the first thirteen verses, and he uses the tool of comparison, using the phrases better/better than or like/so.
